Voluntary Blood Donation Camp – New Delhi

Even before it was formally launched by the Chief Minister of Kerala on 28th August, 2014, Citizens India Foundation (CIF) organized its first Voluntary Blood Donation Camp (VBDC) in the Capital, New Delhi in partnership with Delhi Malayalee Association on 12th July 2014 at its premises

Malayalee organizations in the capital including the Delhi N.S.S., the SNDP Union, the Kerala Muslim Welfare Association, the Mayur Vihar Ayyappa Seva Samithi, the Arsha Dharma Parishad, joined hands with CIF in organising the camp in just three days notice. Prominant Malayalee residents of the capital who worked for the success of the camp include Shri. M.K.G Pillai, Shri Sainudin, Shri. T.K. Kuttappan, Shri. K. Madhavan Nair, Shri. P.K. N. Nambiar, Dr. Hariharan, Shri. Babu Panikkar.

The camp was joi9ntly inaugurated by Dr. (Mrs.) Poonam Khetragal, Regional Director, World Health Organization, Madam Sreemathi Teacher, MP and former Health Minister of Kerala and Shri. T.K.A. Nair, Managing Trustee of CIF. Thanks to the efforts of several organisations and individuals, the voluntary blood donation camp was a great success and collected about seventy units of blood.
